Gary is a seasoned coach and human resource executive with a passion for working directly with leaders at every level – from the C-suite to emerging talent - in co-creating the changes they want to positively impact the work they do and lives they touch. His work encompasses coaching, mentoring, and consulting with individuals and organizations in for-profit and non-profit, as both an internal and external coach.
Gary has worked in Western Europe and across the U.S over his career. Approachability, deep listening, and asking thought-provoking questions in helping clients to become their very best in their personal and professional lives are hallmarks of Gary’s experience and skills as a coach. Gary’s focus is on the client, and his greatest gratification is in partnering with all clients in creating transformative outcomes. Colleagues of Gary's have called him "HR+," and commented that he "put the 'H' in HR," meaning that he adds value in the organization by caring deeply about people in solving thorny problems.
Gary’s professional background includes HR executive leadership roles in large, publicly traded companies, leading HR in a private family office, and coaching and board leadership in non-profits. Throughout his career, Gary has had increasingly significant coaching, mentoring, and consulting experiences at the individual and enterprise levels. Following college, Gary was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Reserves for seven years, after which he was honorably discharged. Additionally, Gary has volunteered in non-profits in leadership teams as well as individual contributor roles. In these capacities, he has coached non-profit leaders and teams while acting as a change agent to attain individual and organizational objectives.
Gary earned bachelor’s and master's degrees in business administration, is certified by and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Additionally, he earned a specialization in Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
